All bands need a stage, an audience and, most importantly, an effective and organised promotional team with business skills and enterprising ideas to get their talents noticed.

All music industry entrepreneurs want to sell tickets, attract sponsors and collaborate with business experts to put on an exciting and professional event at a prestigious venue at which they can present up and coming bands in a competitive showcase.

The A.M.P. Awards (Association of Music and Promotion) is both a Music and Enterprise Competition involving the collaboration of pupils and staff at Secondary Schools across Yorkshire, Business Sponsors and Mentors, Music Industry Experts and Charity Partners.

The itchyKOO Award

itchyKOO's support of the Music market and the Amp Awards specifically, was the inspiration behind this years competition.

itchyKOO have worked with photography students from across the region to develop their skills in capturing iconic images of this genre. The competition to produce THE ICONIC image of 2012 was open to all participating schools. Each student putting forward a selection of images together with the winning iconic image winning a full days studio training from Rick Parsons of itchyKOO. In addition the winning image will be used on promotional materials and galleries across the web.
